Our Story
Alya is a ACC accredited and registered acupuncturist located in Mangawhai, Aotearoa (NZ). Alya is also qualified in providing cosmetic acupuncture treatment. Her own health journey and interest in alternative healing brought her to Acupuncture, where she studied for 4.5 years completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
With a passion for women’s health and a strong focus on preconception, maternity and postnatal support, her aim is to provide a holistic and unique experience for each patient, where they feel safe, validated and nurtured in her care.
Alya uses traditional Chinese healing modalities including acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping and guasha whilst incorporating Te Whare Tapa Whā (taha tinana (physical well-being), taha hinengaro (mental and emotional well-being), taha whānau (social well-being), and taha wairua (spiritual well-being) into her practice.
Black Swamp Dojo
Black Swamp Dojo is based in the rural country of Mangawhai, a few minutes from Mangawhai village. A space created for likeminded individuals to practise martial arts, yoga, pilates and all things health and wellbeing. Blackswamp Dojo offers a beautiful large sauna with an ice bath to practice contrast therapy, it's an ideal sanctuary for those seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and a deeper connection to self. With health and wellbeing workshops running throughout the year the Dojo is a place to learn and grow through a more holistic approach..
